19 Years of HPC Clusters

init.at configures and maintains HPC clusters for renowned national organizations in the university environment and companies in the international sector.

2018

Start project participation in the development of a software solution for a license management portal offering a simulation package for modelling materials at the atomic level.

2016

init.at relocates to modern office premises on three levels in Vienna's 12th district.

2010

As a social commitment, init.at begins with the support of various aid agencies.

An internationally leading steel- and tech-corporation is acquired as a customer.

2008

Conceptual design and operation of a cluster for an Austrian banking institute.

The company's founder passes away suddenly.

2005

Start of the monitoring project for the central IT service at the University of Vienna (12,000 checks for 2000 target devices in the final stage).

2002

The supercomputer “Schrödinger” begins its operation. This cluster is the largest high-performance cluster in Austria from 2002 to 2009.

2001

Design of a new high-performance cluster for the University of Vienna. This cluster later becomes known as “Schrödinger”.

2001

init.at relocates to a larger office in Vienna’s 6th district.

2000

The foundation is laid for a long-term business relationship with an internationally active association of testing and research institutes that establish and test globally recognized quality standards in the textile and leather sector.
